Jennifer Slothower

Restorative Yoga Instructor

Certified Trauma-Informed Restorative Yoga

200 Hour RYT

About Jennifer

Jennifer began her study of yoga more than a decade ago.  Her interest in yoga started as a physical and external practice with the sole intention of unwinding after years spent in the corporate world; where she was often exhausted, burnt-out and lacked the tools to quiet her mind and worries.

Jennifer quickly found that yoga supported both her physical and mental health; it offered her a chance to soften and relax her body and mind in order to release tension, facilitate deep healing and restoration.  What started out as solely a physical practice quickly evolved into an understanding of the internal practice of stillness, growth, balance and acceptance that yoga offers.

Jennifer’s love of yoga led her on a journey to become a teacher in 2020, where she learned just how passionate she really is about sharing restorative yoga and encouraging relaxation with the world.  She believes we are living in an unprecedented time of high burn-out, high stress and high tension in mind, body and spirit.  Therefore, in every class, Jennifer offers her students a chance to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect to their body, find stillness in their mind and relax into a space that promotes health and well-being.

Intentional Creativity® is a healing modality designed to promote the expression of one’s emotional landscape so that they become comfortable responding to the events of life with a sense of expanded perspective and empowerment.

Angel’s work with those in the healing and helping professions follows a three-fold path of Embodied, Applied and Amplified Creative Self-Expression.  The Embodied stage introduces the individual to easy and practical ways to implement creativity as a resource for self care and the development of greater self awareness.  The Applied stage invites the individual to discern and learn how to use these tools within the population they serve.  The Amplified stage encourages the individual to notice the impact their consistent practice has had in their interpersonal relationships as well as where this approach might be beneficial in promoting greater harmony within the collective.

Of great influence for Keane have been the traditions of ancient yoga, holistic medicine and care practices, the science of neurophysiology, the practices and approaches of Intentional Creativity® and the HeartMath Institute.  The point where all these bodies of work converge is the creative center at the heart of every individual that allows the brain and body to rewire, heal, and remember the true essence of our causative capability in life.  Likewise, all of Keane’s offerings are an embodied convergence of these influences.

Keane is excited to be working with men who want to curate new life in their emotional landscape in his unique Intentional Healing Circles and Individual Sessions.  He is also delighted to be helping both men and women find greater peace, emotional resilience, and personal empowerment in his yoga classes, guided meditations, HeartMath mentoring and self-expressive creativity sessions.

By bringing relaxation, breathwork, and self-expression practices to employers, he hopes to help people right where they are while they are working.  In doing so, he also hopes to facilitate a sea-change in the way businesses and employees engage with each other, their work, their clients, themselves, and the world at large.

Together, Angel and Keane share a vision of fostering remembrance of the innate creative potential in all beings, especially the ones who can share it with others.  They envision reaching those in the healing and helping professions to amplify the impact of these valuable inner reconnections.  As subtle agents of change in a hierarchy dominated paradigm, we invite employers, agencies, and systems to view fully empowered and self-expressed individuals not as a threat to the business models of the present, but as an asset to the thriving business model of the future where creativity and innovation are not only desirable, but absolutely necessary.
